Learning French 101

I am confused. Surely all these are either croissants or bread rolls...? In a parallel universe, I am currently having a flash card test (French 101) and failing.

Le professeur holds up a flash card.
Me: Erm, croissant?
Le professeur: Non! Incorrect! This one...?
Me: Er.... Petite croissant?
