Live on Brighton Beach

It was like "Live on Brighton Beach" without the sun and Fatboy Slim spinning tunes.....

It is on Brighton's pebbled beach where children build sandcastles using a mixture of erm, pebbles and (possibly) concrete....

Beaches to the English are about:
1) Old style carousels and penny arcades lining the beach front. (Except now a pound gets you about four old pennies/tokens in return. What do you expect with inflation from 1890 to 2007, I suppose....)

(Madame Fortune teller actually churned out a "You will die a horrible death" type of fortune for one of my friends..... And I had thought they only did the whole, "You will take a journey over water," sort of vague type of predictions!)

2) Eating a classic vanilla soft serve icecream cone with a Cadbury Chocolate Flake ©
3) Having a old style broadwalk/pier complete with more amusement park rides and games.

(Above: Flatmates version 1.4 - yeah, we've had quite a few changes which is quite typical of transient London.....)

4) Oh yeah, did I also mention RAIN.......? (*sigh* yes, it's been a really frustrating summer given that we haven't had one....)

The strangest building award goes to the Royal Pavilion.....

Don't ask why there is a Middle Eastern looking building down in Brighton, because I don't know the answer myself. (However, the weather as seen in the photograph is a dead give away that this is still England :p)
